Engage Your Students

This blog was designed to foster discussions about educational technology and its effective use in the classroom. ETEC 424 students, please introduce yourselves to the world of education! Tell us what technologies you will integrate into curriculum and how. What would you like your classroom to be? Will your classroom be engaging enough for your students?

I think that having a class page to blog with students and parents would be awesome! Students could ask the teacher and other students questions about assignments or projects. Parents could check to see assignments that are due or pictures of things done in class. The teacher could check to see if the students understand assignments, etc. What a fun way to keep connected with your classroom family!!

I thought that this assignment was very useful. I was not very familiar with blogging, especially how to start my own . This was very helpful on learning how to start a blog and use it effectively... I can possible use this in my own cirriculum later in my career.

I think that this assignment was very interesting. I may actually get the hang of all the various technology that is out in the world today, and maybe get up todate week the students that I am teaching technology to. I know that I have a long way to go.

I thought this class was interesting. Although I do already know how to blog from myspace and other various websites I did find this interesting. I like Jasha think that it would be great if we could have an online chat or an ongoing blog with our parents and/or students. I think we could do a lot of things with this assignment if we were creative.

I think that this is a wonderful way to stay connected with your students and a great way to keep them engaged in the new technology.I think this would be especially useful over the summers to keep in touch with the kids and stay connected with what is going in their lives!

This is a very informative exercise. This would be very useful in the classroom between students and teachers. As well as being an excellent outlet for communication it also familerizes students with technology in the class.

Tonight has been awesome. Learning about blogging has been very interesting. I would like for my classroom to be able to use the internet to do some assignments and have fun learning about something new like we did tonight.

I like this assignment even though it was a challenge for me to do. That's what learning new things is all about, though. I am hoping this class will help me to become more confident when using technology.

I never saw myself doing much with blogs in my classroom but now I can see how this can be a great way of communication between me, parents, and students. I really didn't have trouble setting up my blog and now I think that I will use this in my classroom. There are so many ways you can use the blogs in the class. I like it!!
